Klaudia Szlachta, Violin

Klaudia Szlachta, violin, has performed extensively in the US, Germany, Great Britain, and Israel. She received numerous prizes and recognitions in her native Poland, including the First Prize, Grand Prix, and three special violin prizes at the National Violin Competition in Elblag. Other recent highlights have included recording music for the Irish Film Institute’s Film Festival, performances by invitation to the Institute Festival of Contemporary Performance in New York, and showcasing a new composition by Ketty Nez at the Festival of New Music in Florida. Locally, she performs frequently with the Cantata Singers and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project. An active chamber music performer, she has appeared with several groups including Convergence Ensemble, and is a member of the Amabile Piano Trio.
