Zooey Cheng, General Manager

Zooey Cheng is an arts administrator, classical pianist, and music educator based in the Boston area. She recently joined Convergence Ensemble as General Manager, bringing experience in arts administration, communications, events, artist relations, and community engagement. Previously, she served as Communications and Events Lead at the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA), where she worked with a diverse network of arts leaders and organizations worldwide and contributed to the development of international performing arts networking events. Zooey also worked with InPulse Creatives, an artist agency dedicated to supporting and advancing the careers of artists through professional representation and creative collaborations, with a focus on enhancing cultural awareness and fostering connections across the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.

As a pianist and music educator, Zooey has worked with a diverse range of individuals, ensembles, and educational institutions, including Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Chelsea Public Schools, the New Amsterdam Boys and Girls Choir, and Musica Viva Choir in New York. Since 2022, she has been a Steinway & Sons Educational Partner and Teaching Artist. She currently serves as Collaborative Pianist for the Cambridge Choral Chinese Society. Zooey holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from Mannes School of Music in New York City.
