Bach’s Clavier-Übung III: Organ recital by Aaron Sunstein

  • Parish of All Saints, Ashmont 209 Ashmont Street Boston, MA, 02124 United States (map)

DATE: FRIDAY MAY 9TH 2025

TIME: 7PM

ADDRESS: Parish of All Saints, Ashmont, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester, MA 02124

Aaron Sunstein’s performance of Bach’s Clavier-Übung III on the Centennial Organ (C.B. Fisk, Opus 103) at All Saints is dedicated to the memory of his undergraduate organ teacher Del Disselhorst, a noted performer of Bach’s music and is a benefit for two Dorchester-based music organizations: Convergence Ensemble and The Bach Project.

We are grateful to Aaron Sunstein for this musical offering to uplift these two organizations that are deeply special to him. Aaron grew up in Dorchester and was a chorister in the Choir of Men and Boys at the Parish of All Saints Ashmont when founder of The Bach Project, Andrew Sheranian, was Assistant Organist at the church, and Convergence Ensemble Artistic Director and pianist, Rachel Goodwin, is his mother! This collision of worlds could not be more momentous in a society that is so divided.

PROGRAM

Johann Sebastian Bach – Part III of the Clavier-Übung
